Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia and his wife, Amber, held their second "CC Challenge" scavenger hunt in Central Park on Saturday to raise money for their PitCCh In Foundation, which aims to enrich the lives of inner-city youths.
The event began in 2011, but was cancelled last year in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Various teams participated in the event, while the Sabathias dressed as clues. Amber was dressed as the Queen of Hearts and spent the day posted up at the park's Alice in Wonderland statue.
"It was great for people to come out and support our organization," CC Sabathia said. "We wanted to do something kind of different and the scavenger hunt is why we chose to do it."
The PitCCh In Foundation was established in 2009.
"CC and I, we always say, there's always ... different ways to raise money, but this time we were able to really have people come out and have fun and just enjoy the day," Amber Sabathia said.
